We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Information Officer to join our management team. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and serving as a key member of the organization’s strategic management team, the CIO will work with teams of researchers to provide design, implement and support bioinformatics systems and manage the information technology department.

Minimum qualifications are a M.S. in biology with demonstratable computational skills or a M.S. in computer science with a strong interest in biology/genomics or equivalent combination of education and experience; 5+ years of experience in bioinformatics and 3+ years of supervisory experience required; Experience with web-based bioinformatics tools, public domain biological databases and software tools for sequence, domain and structural analysis required; Knowledge of Java, C++, Oracle DB2, XML, HTML, JSP and statistics are preferred. Prior experience in biotech or academic environments preferred.
