Viagra had first been used as a proper medication during the 1990s. Before this was introduced, different methods and products were used to treat erectile dysfunction, which included herbal medicine. Vietnamese Viagra was one of the treatments used that stemmed from the limited resources available to them.
While erectile dysfunction has been a health concern for a long time, different methods were used to identify a way to treat this. In other countries, finding the components for Viagra wasn’t easy due to the available sources. Neither was it as accessible as it was in more prominent countries. The price would also be too much for others to afford, or it would come in limited amounts.
Because of this, alternatives were discovered which were just as effective as Viagra without necessarily making the same type of medication. From that, the Vietnamese Viagra was created.

What Is Vietnamese Viagra?
People had to make use of medicinal plants before Viagra was introduced. The Vietnamese, during the time, utilized an herbal mixture that worked similar to the treatments that are found today.
In 2005, a drug was launched in Vietnam that contained Sildenafil, which was the main active ingredient of Viagra. This was called “Adagrin” and tested through various studies on Vietnamese men who experienced erectile dysfunction symptoms.
Further studies have also proven that Adagrin can effectively treat symptoms of pulmonary arterial hypertension in both men and women. This condition occurs in the lungs, where the heart needs to pump more blood through the lungs.
By working on the PDE5 enzyme in the lungs, Adagrin can relax the blood vessels, increasing the supply of blood to the lungs without overstraining the heart. This is made possible because of the Sildenafil component found in the medication.
Vietnamese Viagra’s Side Effects
Like other treatments, Adagrin will come with different side effects. There are a few to note, although listed below are those that are commonly experienced:
- Warmth or redness in the face or around the body
- Headaches and dizziness
- Problems with vision such as blurry vision or change in colors
- Cold-like symptoms like having a stuffy nose
- Body pain in the muscles and back
- Stomachaches and, sometimes, diarrhea
The treatment can cause other side effects depending on how the medication will affect the consumer’s body. However, this may also vary on the dosage taken or the consumer’s sensitivity to foreign substances.
Take note that there are certain instances when consumers should stop taking Adagrin because it may put their health at risk.
Some of these situations include heart attack symptoms such as chest pain or nausea, sudden loss of vision, irregular heartbeat, swelling on the hands and feet, shortness of breath, and even convulsions.
If any of the following occurs, it’s best to contact a doctor immediately to avoid any further harm.
The Difference Between Vietnamese Viagra and the Common Viagra
Adagrin and Viagra function similarly, especially when it comes to producing results and the process they go through to achieve this. The main reason for this is because they both contain Sildenafil which plays as the main ingredient to treat erectile dysfunction.
They, however, differ with how it is commercialized and consumed. Adagrin can only be sold to someone with a prescription, unlike Viagra, which comes with a number of alternative ways to be bought, such as through online means without requiring any prescription.
Depending on the doctor’s recommendation, the medication can be taken up to 2 times a day.
Patients who suffer from pulmonary arterial hypertension who are prescribed to take Adagrin usually take them in smaller doses than those patients who experience symptoms of erectile dysfunction.
However, the side effects that the consumers may encounter are similar because the Sildenafil component often causes them.
Although Adagrin has been tested through studies, the effectiveness of the treatment is not as solidly supported as that of Viagra. However, it shows that over half of the tested population have been able to experience good results from consuming Vietnamese Viagra.
Important Information to Remember About Vietnamese Viagra
As other medications would, Adagrin can react differently when consumed simultaneously as alcohol or other medicines. The side effects that occur upon consumption may worsen when this happens, which is why it should be avoided if possible.
While it’s normal to encounter a light-headed feeling and drowsiness when this is consumed, it’s best to wait for the side effects to calm down before doing any strenuous activities.
Like Viagra, patients who have underlying illnesses, such as heart problems, should avoid consuming the medication. This can increase the risk of the side effects of the condition itself, mainly because the drug can also cause different side effects. This could only lead to worsening the health condition.
Adagrin keeps an erection for up to 4 hours. Any longer than this may be painful for the patient and could occur even without arousal. If this happens, see a doctor as soon as possible. While it’s not very harmful to the body, it could still cause permanent sexual problems, including impotence.
Vietnamese Viagra in Improving Sexual Experiences
By increasing blood flow to the penis and causing healthier, longer-lasting erections, consumers of the medication can experience improved sexual experiences with their partners.
Adagrin can improve erections for Vietnamese men. However, this treatment is often used mainly for those who undergo erectile dysfunction.
Regardless, Vietnamese Viagra has made an impact on the sexual lives of people in Vietnam. Adagrin proves to be a potential counterpart for the original Viagra that can produce similar results through a similar process.
